Use local DNS on Android?

I use a local DNS server on my intranet. How can I get Firefox on Android to use this server instead of being strongarmed into using DNS over HTTPS by default? My WiFi profile is already configured to use the local DNS, and all other apps seem to be able to connect to my locally hosted services just fine. Is there something in about:config that I can toggle that will make Firefox respect Android's system-wide DNS settings?

Hi

DNS over HTTPS is currently unavailable for Firefox for Android but is something that may be included in a future update.

Looks like I need to make sure that the canary domain use-application-dns.net is returning NXDOMAIN. The server I'm using (pi-hole) is supposed to do this, but since DoH still happens, I will need to verify that this is actually occuring in my environment and report back. It's beyond ridiculous and condescending UX that I can't just turn this feature off in Firefox settings on Android.
