Youtube videos hang in Firefox. An error message comes up stating "if the video doesn't start playing, try restarting your device." Instead of restarting my device every few videos (i've already emptied cache etc) it's a lot easier to use Brave. BUT, I'd prefer to use Firefox. Is there likely to be a fix for this any time soon?

Seems like Firefox and Youtube just don't play well together.

Thanks for the reply...

Strangely, I asked a question 3 years ago and the resolution required me to get rid of Avast. I hadn't used it before or since...until got a new laptop. I put Avast on it. On the off chance that might be the problem, I've just taken it off, rebooted, and hey presto, videos are playing without issue.

Hopefully, that's it resolved. So it must be a mix of Firefox and Avast as the issue wasn't occurring with Brave and Avast.
