After clicking on one of the results of a Google search Firefox displays wrong web page
If I click on any of the results of a Google search I am taken to the wrong web page. When I go back and click again all is well. This started about a week ago. Have re-loaded Firefox but its made no difference.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

Disable the extension Xulrunner 1.9.1 (if you have it installed). This worked for me. I had already tried several other methods posted on the internet and nothing worked. In frustration today i turned off all of my extensions and turned them back on one by one and tested after each one. Try it - its quick and easy. Nothing to lose.
