I am having the same, exact problem. About a week ago whenever I attempt to watch a video of any sort full screen on Firefox my screen turns white but I can hear the video playing. I can watch the videos just fine on IE8 but I'd rather not use Microsoft's browser. Any thoughts or suggestions for resolving this problem?

Right click on video, go to settings, click on display and unselect 'Enable hardware acceleration'. That should sort out the problem.
