I have a very annoying Yahoo toolbar popup after updating to latest Firefox that blocks access to any site I am on ~ how to remove it.

It asks a question about "Do you want to use Yahoo toolbar on multiple computers? Save this to Yahoo Id or Save to this computer. I have no need for that toolbar. I deleted that program but it still pops up on upper left corner blocking all kinds of controls. Now what do I do? Thanks It wasn't there until I upgraded Firefox, do I have to go back to previous version?

I think it's BrowserPlus which is listed in your Plugins in which case, go to Tools | Plugins and click "Disable" (if there isn't an option to remove it).

You have to be careful when you install stuff like Winamp for example these days because there are many 'extras" which appear during the installation and if you're just clicking "Next" without watching what you're doing, you'll inadvertently install those too.

I found it helpful to simply uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar for Firfox. Instructions below:
