I would like to eliminate Ask.com as my start-up for firefox. How do I do this? Also how do I eliminate the Yahoo Tool Bar?

I have hotmail.com as my start-up for opening the internet, through my control panel internet options, but Firefox installs Ask.com. How do I change this?

Also, Firefox, I believe, has installed the Yahoo Tool Bar. I only want to use Google Tool Bar. How do I eliminate this tool bar?

To change your home page in Firefox, it's in Options>General>Home Page. Type the address of the page you'd like to use as a home page there. To uninstall the Yahoo! and Ask toolbars, look in Add-ons and if you find them you can uninstall them from there. If they are not there, they'll be in Windows Control Panel>Programs and Features, where you can uninstall them like a normal Windows program.

Mozilla should have a policy against extensions that don't show up in Firefox's Add-ons, but I'm not sure that they do.
