Firefox does not disable the entire Kaspersky Antivirus application. Firefox will only disable Kaspersky add-ons made for Firefox when those add-ons don't match the maxVersion of the new version of Firefox.

The 4th posting in that support thread recommends updating to KIS 2012 and use you current 2011 activation code.

As already mentioned, Firefox 7.0.1 is the latest version of Firefox, it was released 3 weeks ago. Firefox 6.0.2 isn't supported any longer, so you should update it.

IMO, if you are near the end of your licensing period with Kaspersky, you should really consider a different AV program. From what I gathered reading a number of support threads in that forum relative to Kaspersky / Firefox issues, there are some real problems with the manner in which Kasperky deals with updating their Firefox add-ons. My advice is to use Avira AntiVir Personal - a free AV program for personal use, which doesn't install any add-ons for Firefox. Just a good basic anti-virus program, without the aggravations that "security suites" provide with their "bells & whistles".
