How do I set my new tabs back to "untitled" rather than load Yahoo! search?

I accidentally installed the Yahoo! search bar along with a DJ program. I was able to uninstall the search bar but a problem persists. Before having the Yahoo! search bar on my Firefox I was able to open a new tab and it was simply blank and labelled "Untitled. It required zero load time.

Now even after uninstalling the Yahoo! search bar, when a new tab is opened it goes straight to a Yahoo! search website. This is incredibly annoying and can often take more time to load than opening an entirely new window for Firefox. How do I get back to "Untitled" blank tabs?

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).

If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.
