Whenever I load Firefox version 11, the add-ons manager also loads in a separate tab. Also, if I click FILE, NEW WINDOW, the new window gets its own add-ons manager in a separate tab.

FWIW, for a while the Fireftp add-0n opened automatically. Then it quit doing this; but now opens the add-ons manager instead.

I was a bit hasty when I clicked the "not helpful" button. I gave up after searching both links for the phrase "add-on" or "add on" and finding nothing. But then I decided to check my home page setting. It turned out to be "file:///C:/BOOKMARK.HTM|about:addons". Somehow the cookie monster had slipped the second one in. If you suspected this was the problem, but still didn't want to answer the question, something like "Check your home page" would have been more user friendly.

Yes, that was meant I meant you to check: to see if there were multiple home pages set and it seems that I was right about that.

Thanks. One learns something new every day.
