I've got the most current version of Adobe Flash installed but still can't play videos that play fine with Safari. Don't know if it an extension, plug-in, or ? problem.

When I click on a video, I don't get a message such as missing plug-in or anything. I just get a page with a blank space where the video should be.

Problem persists even after suggestions. Still happens in Safe Mode and after clearing cache and cookie. Appear (according to their site) to have latest version of Flash but do get the following message when I go to your link for Website Storage issues.

Does the Adobe test page confirm that Flash is installed?

Yes, the Adobe test page confirms I have the current plug-in installed. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player w/o any luck. I've followed all the troubleshooting guides I can find. I don't even know if it is a Flash Player problem but since that seems to be what plays it with Safari, I was guessing it would be the same with Firefox.

I do appreciate any suggestions as I'm at a loss to figure it out.

So mine wasn't working for anything, but then it did in safe mode, so I followed the instructions here on the page below and it worked. Hope this helps someone else!

Thanks for the ideas. I've tried everything I can find w/o any luck. The problem still occurs in safe mode. I'm giving up and will just use Safari if I need to but thanks for the suggestions.

Yes, I've tried these suggestions w/o any success. Problem continues even in safe mode and even after re-installing Firefox. Flash is current so don't know what the issue is. I'll live w/o it but thanks for trying to help.

-> Create a New Profile to check if your current profile is causing the problems, as described in this article -> Basic Troubleshooting - Make a New Profile

  • Now start Firefox using this newly created profile.

-> IF that New Profile works then you can recover your History, Bookmarks, Passwords, etc. from the Old Profile, as described in this article -> Recovering important data from an old profile

Check and tell if its working.

I just updated my Flash video player to 11 and now I can't stream videos on Firefox. I've tried some of the suggested fices but no joy. I was in the precess of reinstalling the new version of Flash when I noticed something. The installer page had correctly noted my system was Windows 64-bit, but the Flash player update is for 32-bit! (install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe) I tried to contact the Adobe service and support people to ask them about this but they say for Flash support I have to buy a service contract! Anyway, if someone can get a hold of the Flash support people maybe we can get this problem fixed.

I just spent 4 1/2 hours on the help section trying to figure out why I wasn't able to view videos, after having just installed the Adobe Flash update Thurs or Fri and installing Mozilla Firefox on my computer yesterday afternoon. It turned out to be the RealPlayer mentioned in the Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox artice. I recommend checking that if nothing else has worked for you. Thanks!

First of all, I immediately ignore all tech support suggestions that begin with "delete your cookies." As soon as I see that, I know the person hasn't a clue. I have been using PC's for 20 years, and I've had my share of problems. Not a single one was ever solved or alleviated by deleting cookies, despite the fact that tech support people who have no idea how to fix the problem always start with that suggestion.

Secondly, all of your desperate attempts to lay the blame on FlashPlayer or other plugins should be considered in the light of the fact that most of us users are having no problem with the very same plugins on Explorer or Chrome. Please take Mudonja21's reply seriously - I endorse his every word.
