Hi,
You can also try to move the mouse around and hover again a few times. If the problem persists, please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/add-ons can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed in Firefox normal mode to check if an extension, theme, option or hardware acceleration is causing issues. Disabling/enabling hardware acceleration, and some types of add-ons in normal mode may require a Firefox restart.
Be aware that it may not be possible to compbine a persona with a custom theme, so you can try to change to the default theme before installing a persona.
I am 100% sure that I am not using any other themes. I m using currently fire fox 13 default theme and the personas are not working for the default theme. But I am able to add the themes like nasa night launch , office black etc.. but i am unable to add personas(light weight themes).
Do you mean the the Getpersonas site isn't working?
Previewing a persona only works on sites that are white-listed via an allow exception, so make sure to have an allow exception for the www.getpersonas.com domain.
You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in:
- Tools > Page Info > Permissions > [X] Install Extensions or Themes
- Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions
Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Site Preferences".
I ve already entered the getpersona.com address in the allow exception, but still i am unable to get that and I have checked the page info>permissions>install extensions too , and when I enered addon-firefox site i am able to add themes to the default but personas are changing the color of the default instead of showing real ones.....
You could also consider the Reset Firefox feature, and afterwards start with the personas to check.
