AS owners of our own PCs, we should have a choice whether we use google or not...You are giving us no choice. There is no way to remove Google from add/remove programs, each update attaches some new loophole involved with Google, a new program and new security without our knowledge -

Your idea of security is to control our PCs without giving us any options - NO WAY!

Firefox was friendly to start with, but I now wonder if they are dictating how we use our own computers and defining all our options? Is this a takeover?

I do not think Firefox forces you to use Google.

Firefox is highly customizable. Alternative search engines may be used. Google is also involved with the anti-phishing and attack protection, but that may be disabled. Google is on the Firefox home page, but you may choose whatever page or pages you want to use as a home page. Google is used on the awesome-bar, to suggest matches but again you need not use Google there either.

I am not certain what you wish to change but maybe some of these help:

Please post back with how you get on.
