Video from Kim Komando and Dick Morris will not play. Java 7 was blocked so I downloaded 6. Still no video yet an advertizement will play! Add-ons still show Java7 but Java7 has been removed in add/remove programs, Java6 is listed! I tried resetting FireFox but still can get Video! Java 7 is still listed in Add-ons while Java6 is not! What do I have to do to get video??

To avoid confusion:

Make sure that you do not block JavaScript.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

For the issue with Java:

Try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.

See Re-initializing the plugins database:
