Two things happened on the day you did the upgrade to 28.0: 1 - The upgrade 1 - I got a message from this site: http://barisderin.com/?p=1861

Now when I try to Pin something from a web page - Twitter for example, the Pin box doesn't open wide enough for me to click on 'Pin' - I have to stretch it both ways AND when I try to Pin something I have already Pinned, Pinterest doesn't warn me that it's a duplicate.

I can stretch the box, tho' it's annoying that I have to - but I no longer trust that the Pin is not a duplicate, from another website OR from inside Pinterest as well. If I can't Pin on Pinterest.com - it's useless to me.

I would like to point out that Pinning is just fine on the iPad - with the App - I don't use Safari tabs to Pin - and I can't Pin from App to App so not sure if the box opens wide enough, but it does tell me that I'm Pinning a duplicate.

I Pin a lot from outside of Pinterest so I'm really finding these two situations to be a problem. Sure hope you can solve it!

One other thing I'm not sure of - is where that site came from telling me that my Pinterest Button had been updated successfully - is that part of your upgrade? I did nothing more than read the page and save the URL. It was on my screen when I came back to the PC after turning it on.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi pacearly,

Thank you for your question I understand that when you try to pin a site, the pin window does not open wide enough for you to click the pin button. This sounds annoying. I also understand that duplicates are no longer detected when you try to pin some websites. I also understand that this function is working in safari, but not Firefox.

This sounds like a job for the Web Compatibility Team. This team is dedicated to helping the Firefox browser render websites like they are supposed to. Please try a new profile to make sure it is not a preference that is blocking this functionality on this site by Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles If it still happens please add your description of the problem and a log capture or screenshot of the webpage at this site: http://dev.webcompat.com If you have any other questions about this we are happy to help.

Thanks for your reply and help - actually, tho' they didn't say, I think it was the Pinterest site that had the problem cause all working fine now.

My main concern was the message I got from http://barisderin.com/?p=1861 telling me that my Pinterest button updated successfully at the same time that my Firefox updated - and then the button didn't work.

Have no idea where it came from or if it was connected to Mozilla or not but happy to say I'm happily pinning away!
