How do I get rid of JumpFlip Aff Packages, DocToTXTConvert ?

more options

I keep getting obtrusive adverts on the browser which I believe are due to downloaded software which includes JumpFlip, Aff Packages and DocTo TXTConvert. I cannot get rid of these programs by uninstalling using the control panel.

You may have an unwanted extension that is injecting the ads. Try this:

Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. (Or if it's obviously bad, try Remove.)

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that help?

Regarding the Control Panel, do you mean the problem programs aren't listed, or the uninstallers for the programs do not run to completion (e.g., they say a file is in use)?
