Ipad instructions say to go to "Add a device" by going to Sync options. On the PC in Firefox menu there is an Options gear that opens an 'Options' window and there is a Sync tab, but no "Add a device" selection. I tried to do the manual setup but was asked for a Sync Key, which I never remember being seeing.

Firefox and Sync isn't supported on iOS. The Firefox Home app was discontinued a few years ago. It was re-born as Bookmarks On The Go, which will need to be updated to be compatible with the new version of Sync that came with Firefox 29. The main difference is that the new version of Sync doesn't use a "Sync key" and doesn't do "pairing".
