I accidently moved these items (and deleted "History") and can't get them back on the left side of the tab bar.

You can move the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" from its current position to the new position while the Customize window is open.

  • "3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize
  • View > Toolbars > Customize

Didn't you look in the View menu (View > Toolbars > Customize)?

The "3-bar" Firefox menu button New Fx Menu shows in the screenshot at the right end of the Navigation Toolbar

You need to be in customize mode if you want to make changes to the toolbars.
