Persistent Bookmark Bug (carried over from each FF upgrade)
Hello Mozillians, I'm finally getting to asking something that has bugged me for years, and it is this:
When I'm visiting a page and want to "Bookmark this page" FF's drop-down menu opens and gives me the option to save to a folder of my choosing. I have a number of pre-defined Folders, so I choose the one I wish the bookmark to go into and close the box.
And every single time without fail Firefox adds my Bookmark . . . to a New Folder it creates under its parent. I have to CUT the link from the child folder, PASTE it into its parent folder (the one I originally instructed FF to use) and delete the child folder FF created. When I have occasion to open my Bookmarks file, I sometimes see multiple little child folders, each with the link I wanted to store in their parent (I guess I should be grateful they don't recurse!).
I haven't reported it because it's one of those things that irritates but does not affect the functional features of the browser. I haven't raised the issue before; I'm raising it now. Thank you. :)
