I use Search Messages (selected from the right mouse button menu that appears when I click on an email folder name) many times each day, either as a simple search with only one thing to look for, or a complex search with 2 or more criteria. It often works properly but I also often find that it doesn't find text in the body of an email (using "Body contains ..."). There are some messages that it just cannot find. Over the years it's caused me a significant loss of time each day to do the searching using only the To or From field and then reading through the dozens or hundreds of messages that were retrieved. Global Search also doesn't find these messages, but today I tried for the first time using Quick Filter and that does find them. Yippee! However, I have hundreds or even thousands of messages in some folders and I really need to use Search Messages with its combination of the To, From, and Body fields (and limiting the search to just one folder) to make the search properly useful. While Googling this problem some years ago I came across the advice to periodically delete the file global-messages-db.sqlite and wait for it to be rebuilt before doing any searching. I do that regularly but only occasionally does it fix my current search problem. Can anyone help me???
