my website in firefox browser does not disply the you tube or facebook links/feeds, shows fine in IE
sorry - i've tried half a dozen times to load screenshots of 'the problem' nothing would load, not a word doc with the screenshots, not pngs, not jpgs, and trying to load actually crashed firefox at one point so - here's the problem but no supporting images... my website: www.pfment.com on the right panel has on top a you tube button, then a facebook feed and last, a place to subscribe to tipsheets. all was fine - i do not know when they stopped showing (in the ff browser) to be clear, the yt and fb parts no longer show at all, and the tipsheet subscribe is on top. if i select view in ie tab, it's still a no show, however, if i open the ie browser, chrome, etc, it shows correctly. i have emptied cache and cookies, no help. ideas? suggestions? thanks! cyd hmm, just tried to do the automatically add troublehooting info but it said no can do - problems at your end....will see if manual will work.

FOUND IT - i read more of the misc articles on troubleshooting and started disabling things one at a time, the errant extension: ADBLOCK PLUS - i love this extension, it does an excellent job, obviously it's just a tad too excellent! have to see what i need to do to 'disable' some of its functionality. thanks very much for helping me figure out what was wrong.

Do you have a screenshot of what this should look like, the site looks the same to me in all browsers/updated versions?

sorry - we've been working on the website over the weekend so it isn't the same anymore because the person working on it already changed the facebook feed to some text and told me that we'll see about making it the way it was later, nevertheless, i absolutely do have screenshots- they simply would not load on the page to post the initial question. in the ff browser neither the yt widget or the fb 'feed' were showing, but the ie browser had them correctly displayed. apologies because as of right this minute the site won't look like that in any browser - with the messing about of the weekend it currently shows as in the 3rd screenshot - i put the windows next to each other and captured just the relevant part - on the left side is ie showing the yt widget and text for a fb link, but on the ff side, there's still no yt widget, it does show the text but ultimately the idea is to get it back to what it looks like in the second shot of the ie browser. i hope i didn't confuse things - and thank you VERY much for any help (i've looked at the question for websites don't appear as they should but clearing cache and cookies didn't help)

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
The crash report flagged these programs;
lpxpcom.dll = LastPass
atiumdag.dll = ATI Technologies Inc = Radeon DirectX Universal Driver
jvm.dll = Java HotSpot(TM) = Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard
Check those programs for updates.
not sure why the pdf readers would disallow a widget and feed from showing, i checked and neither runs automatically, they're both set 'ask to activate'
crash report from when i first posted and was trying to upload the screenshots, it never would allow the uploads and at one point crashed - THATs where the crash report is from, couldn't find a radeon universal driver, the radeon driver that is installed is up to date, as is java, i just checked. last pass shouldn't have anything to do with widgets on websites...
thanks for looking but ensuring these things are updated didn't change anything, and the problem of the feed and widget not showing has been there for at least several months - 6+, ot sure when exactly it began tho, i don't check the site often.
So the like button and the youtube widget are not showing. They do show in 35, this came out today. After updating to 35 and opening the site in a private window do they appear?
weird - evidently it's showing on your ff browser? i went ahead and updated, refreshed, no yt widget showing, so i tried the private browser, still no yt widget. the text for the fb link shows, i know she hasn't had time to mess with it and see if the fb feed code works.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
by jove fredmcd - you/we/re onto something now - did the restart with add ons disabled, before it restarted i got the start in safe mode option which i selected - BEFORE i turned off hardware acceleration i tried the pfm website and the yt widget is there & on pages where the new code hasn't flowed through to - the correct fb feed shows! i then tried something that hasn't worked for a long time now - sounds stupid but it was an easy thing to check because i KNOW it didn't work - a publishers clearing house email - those pages would load part way and stop, this time it completed. this is w/o turning off the hardware acceleration - i've looked at extensions and add ons but can't figure out which is the culprit - do i go through one at a time disabling and checking the site(s) or do i need to turn off the hardware acceleration despite the fact it's all working in safe mode w/acceleration 'on'? once you get me to figure out which/what is causing the issue you'll have fixed this! we're getting closer...
