ok so when i go check my plugins tab in the setting area , it says shockwave flash 16.0.0.235 is outdated , so i clicked update and i downloaded version 18.0.0.160 , so now when i go to the plugins settings i can see that i have flash player 18 and i still have flash player 16 saying its outdated , how do i fix this ?

Seems the Adobe installer did not completely clean up the old version. You may need to manually delete the old DLL file from disk.

To discover its location, type or paste about:plugins in the address bar and press Enter. Firefox should display lots of detail about each of your plugins. You can use Find (Ctrl+f) to look for npswf which will match only the two different Flash plugins.

Can you track it down and remove it?

nevermind i went to the adress that it was telling me the dll file was on the hard drive , it seems one of my other programs was using the outdated flashplayer and not firefox , is there a way i can get an updated version of that dll file to pass it to my other program ?
