The "bookmark" will not accept a new address.
I had an established bookmark "capitalone check" for a few years. Last week I attempted to use it but you posted a return that this address was not safe. I am able to contact Capitalone Direct Banking by using their address in the browser.
I deleted the name from the bookmarks and tried to re-enter but the new entry would not be accepted. I took my computer to Staples service, but they had no idea as to how to correct the problem. How do I solve this condition?

Is this a problem on your Firefox on Windows 7?
What I suggest is, if you can load the new page, go ahead and bookmark it (you can press Ctrl+d) and save the new bookmark to a convenient location. Then delete the old one.
Or if you really prefer to edit it, if you right-click the bookmark, you should get be able to click Properties. The old address under location should be completely removed and you can paste in the new address.
Do either of those work for you?

Thanks for your assistance. Suggestion #2 could not be done because I had already deleted the old bookmarked name. BUT, suggestion #1 did the job. Kind of funny, 2 other sources of information failed me because they did not instruct me to "save to a convenient location". You have "learned" me something as well of you doing a good deed for the day.
