I am getting a sign-on page when I go to Amazon that is in Dutch (I think that is the language)--see attached. I am a U.S. customer. My account is set up for English. So far, this only happens with Amazon. What's going on?

If you don't want to remove cache or cookies, use a Private Browsing window: press Ctrl + Shift + P keys to open one, then test if your problem is solved.

Otherwise try to remove cache/cookies:

  1. Click on the menu button in the top right-hand corner
  2. Select History then Clear Recent History…
  3. In the popup, check only Cache and/or Cookies and select all in the drop-down menu for the time range to clear

(note: you are talking about a attachment, but there is not. To attach a screenshot, you have a button under the text box to reply)

You are brilliant! I deleted all Amazon history and all cookies. Voila! No more problem. I'd like to know what caused it, but who knows. I am just delighted it is solved!! Thank you!

Great! I'm happy that helped you. Thanks for your feedback.

What caused it? Maybe one time the dutch version of Amazon website was open, and a cookie was installed at the same time. Less likely: you previously used a Internet connection from a Netherlands-based Internet Service Provider (even in the US, it could maybe happen), and Amazon got this location to set dutch language.

(an other simple solution was to scroll till the bottom of the welcome page, then click on Verenigde Staten, but maybe you tried this before)
