Hello. I have a PC with OpenSuse 13.2 64 bit and another PC with OpenSuse 32 bit. and Firefox 41 I am trying install a java version tha have a firefoox plugin called Java(TM) I gat from Java site the version with the Java(TM), but I can not instal it in Firefox, because I don't know where is the firefox directories plugins.

If I open the page "about:plugins", nothing appears, because firefox not has plugins installed yet. So, I can not see where is the place of plugins.

Please, can you tell me where is the correct location to install plugins on Firefox ?

You can place a symbolic link in the /usr/lib/browser-plugins/ or the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory. You can also create a plugins folder in the ~/.mozilla folder (~/.mozilla/plugins) to install the plugin only for this user.

I don't want install the plugin only for this user.

But, what can I do if the folders "/usr/lib/browser-plugins/" and "/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins" not exist? can I creat these directories? The Firefox will find it? Any of these directories will work?

A browser-plugins folder should exist in urs/lib/ for OpenSUSE 13.2 64-bit.

I do not use either usr/lib places as I use the ~/.mozilla/plugins method.

I assume that either of those folders will exist and if not then you can create either and check if Firefox find the plugin. On 64 bit Linux with a 64 bit Firefox version you need /usr/lib64/

It is interesting. You could say, which aplication creats theses folders? Maybe in my PC, this aplication is corrupted.

oh right the usr/lib is for 32-bit

I do have both browser-plugins and mozilla folders in usr/lib64

for mozilla folder you would need to create a folder named plugins

I actually have four Plugins in the usr/lib64/browser-plugins however my Firefox (and SeaMonkey) installs from mozilla.org makes use of the Plugins in ~/.mozilla/plugins instead.
