When I logged on today, I noticed that none of my desktop file showed any FF logos like they usually do. Just showed blank white files with file names but no logos at all.

Opened a couple of files with no problems, they opened as html in FF. Thought that maybe my default browser had been switched, Checked & no switch.

Switched default to IE and the files showed IE logos. Switched it back to FF, and back to plain white file & no logo.

Checked file associations and all files ( html, htm, shtml, xht, xhtml files ) are associated with FF, just no logos.

Any suggestions

Open Windows Internet Explorer. Have it declared as the default browser. But turn off the option to check this when the browser opens (If you want).

Now do the same thing using Firefox.
