Firefox 42: I've met the requirement to playback Netflix via HTML5, instead of Silverlight. But Netflix still wants Silverlight.

Netflix help says HTML5 is now available on Firefox 42 or higher, on Windows Vista or better. But Netflix refuses to play in HTML5, even though I have Firefox 42 and Win 7. Netflix insists on Silverlight. I've disabled the only extension I have (NoScript). I've disabled Silverlight and restarted Firefox. The Adobe Primetime decryption EME plugin is active. Youtube plays back HTML5 without difficulty.

Thanks for replying, but clearing cookies had no effect. This was true with Silverlight set to click-to-play (Netflix asked that I activate Silverlight). I then disabled Silverlight and cleared Netflix cookies a second time and restarted the browser. It still wanted Silverlight (now Netflix asked that I install Silverlight). I've attached a screenshot.

I also looked for cookies from other Netflix domains that are used for playback (nflxext.com, nflximg.com, nflxvideo.net). There were none.

I posed the question to Netflix support on their chat line. They said HTML5 playback on Firefox 42 is working on 64-bit Win 7, but not yet active on 32-bit. Win 7 32-bit users have to continue with Silverlight for now. He didn't give any technical details on why. Their HTML5 rollout for 32-bit Win 7 should occur with Firefox 43.
