I am using Firefox and Java runtime latest versions. Firefox version is 46.0.1 and Java runtime version is Java8 Update 91. When I go to any site which uses Java plugin, Firefox shows a warning message saying that Plugin is vulnerable but when I see in the Firefox addons, it says that the plugin is up to date. I trust the site from where the .jnlp is being downloaded. My question is can I ignore the warning? Also why I see this warning when everything is up to date.

I just want to confirm if Firefox 46.0.1 support Java plugin which can be run within the browser window without any warning provided java runtime is up to date. Or I have to run the java app outside the browser window with Java web starter.

Since Chrome does not support Java plugin and is it true for Firefox also? Please reply
