Emails aren't coming through on Thunderbird yet I can see them on my domain webmail. Originally I thought it was BT playing silly beggars and putting the incoming mails into spam, but this is not the case. I can see 6 emails in my domain's webmail inbox timed between1200 and 0800 yet I have no new messages in my Thunderbird inbox since 0856 and doing "get messages" results in W"there are no new messages". I'm running 45.4.0. I have a feeling the problem has only started in the last 24 hours or so, which may coincide with an update from thunderbird. Is anyone else noticing a problem? Can I get an older version of Thunderbird to roll back to? Jools

The most common cause post update for what you describe is Anti virus (commonly nortons) firewall blocking the new unknown program (Thunderbird version has ticked up X.X.1)

Cure manually enable the new version in the firewall.

Finally managed to work out the cause of the problem (with help from my domain support team). BT has introduced some new security protocols which have the effect of blocking all email sent to @mydomain.org which is forwarded to @btconnect.com

My solution has been somewhat cludgy - I have set up another account within Thunderbird to download email from @mydomain So now Thunderbird checks two accounts when I tell it to get new messages 1] @mydomain.org and 2]@btconnect.com Makes a mockery of the email forwarding on the domain, but the only easy way I could see to do it while BT are beggaring about with their so called security protocols.
