recently thunderbird has stopped displaying remote content in messages. Now all I get is blue text where all the content would normally be. I used to get a button with "display remote content" but this no longer exists. I have checked the box "allow remote contents in messages" under tools/options/privacy but no effect

Keazen oplossing

Do you have View/Message Body as set to Original HTML?

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Privacy_basics_%28Thunderbird%29

It could also be that the images are blocked by your mail provider. What kind of account, e.g. gmail, verizon, yahoo etc.?
