After Windows 7 Pro crashed, it tried to repair (didn't need it). However it restored a really, really old version of my tab session. I recovered the one I want from my cloud backup but now I can't figure out how to get it to work when I restart. I can't find any sessionstore.js file in my profile folder. Please help! All it does it record and restore and same very old session as the latest/new session. Is there a new name for the sessionstore file? Is it in a different folder? Thanks

check that you are in the correct folder for the profiles:

Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder
   http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

if there's no sessionstore.js check for sessionstore-backups/recovery.js which might hold a copy of sessionrestore.

also this might help: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/56sevb/how_to_restore_a_browsing_session_from_backup/ it's basically about changing the file extension of sessionstore.

If everything fails, try this AddOn: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/session-manager/

When following these instructions (closing the browser), somehow a sessionstore.js file was finally created. I was able to replace it with the one I had recovered from my cloud back-up. Whew! This solution helped get me on the right track, finally - thanks! :)
