When we used to click on firefox it would come up with pictures of previously visited pages. There was also a page of these for my daughter. These have all disappeared. HOw do I get them back?

Hi ho76,

Have you tried checking the browsing history? You can click History -> Show all history and you should be able to see all the pages you have visited in a certain period of time (depending on your settings).

No it is not the browsing history it is the set of pictures that you first get when you open firefox - i think bookmarks etc

They are called the dials?

Oh, maybe you're referring then to the tiles in the new tab page.

It's bit different now with the new update, you can check the instructions here and here on how to customize it to your liking.

What home page do you see now? If you cannot copy/paste its address from the address bar, you can copy/paste it from the Page Info dialog. Either:

  • right-click a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info
  • (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info

To the right of Address, you'll see the address. You can triple-click it to select it, then either use Ctrl+C or right-click > Copy.

If you were using a "speed dial" add-on to create your home pageplease check the Add-ons page to see whether it is still installed and enabled. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then scan down the right side for anything that looks like a speed dial extension and check its Options and make sure it is enabled (but only one at a time if you have more than one).
