Everything was just fine before the update.

I am using windows 10 64bit pro version 1709

And currently using firefox 64bit 60.0.1

After the update to 60.0.1, I noticed that it takes longer time to startup than before. (Went from almost instant to aprox 5 sec.) The firefox is installed in SSD.

After it started up, the window will just freeze/stuck and the input crusor stop blinking. The problem is same as this guy https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1189114 " Firefox Windows freezes for a couple of seconds (2-3) in this time I cannot move my cursor and almost everything in general stops (audio that is playing from other apps, etc)"

More than that, firefox will also freeze when there is a new tab open or even switch tab will cause the freeze.

Below is what i've tried:

Clear the browsing cache

restart my PC

Start firefox in safemode

turn on "Preventing accessibility services from accessing your browser"

refresh firefox

completely uninstall and reinstall firefox

None of them solve the problem

What I do noticed is that after the fresh install it will become normal for less than a minute and than freeze again and boom! The problem shows up again just like before.

Does anyone have the same problem? Any suggestion would be fine and I appreciate that

Hi, with out knowing age of system or ram amount total is hard to say as older systems may have issues with Firefox as well just because you can run Windows 1709 (Spring Update is out and is version 1803) does not mean you should.

Please go to Options --> General ---> Performance and uncheck Use Recommended Performance Settings and change the Processes to 2 and give that a try. Restart of Firefox is required.

The CPU I'm using is i7-4790K and the working RAM is 16GB which are way enough for firefox to work smoothly.

And there is several conflict with several brand of SSD (from the news and another users) which will cause endless loop of blue screen. ALL the disk I'm using is SSD, therefore I cannot receive the newest 1803 version update. (microsoft has pulled it back)

There could be something wrong with firefox but I just simply want to know where. Because everything is smooth before the update.

Sorry it is available here :https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Update assistant or Media Creation Tool which can also update from.

As for SSD's you need to figure that out as I have no problems with same chip but 32gig

You did not report on this as to if you did so as requested : Please go to Options --> General ---> Performance and uncheck Use Recommended Performance Settings and change the Processes to 2 and give that a try. Restart of Firefox is required.

turn on "Preventing accessibility services from accessing your browser"

So you put a Check Mark in the Box is that Correct ?
