A request to allow or disallow changes on my computer came on and will not go away. I have tried answering no, yes, no three or four times or yes several times
When I click on Firefox and then click on "open" a box appears requesting that I give or refuse permission for certain changes to be made on my computer. I clicked NO and the box re appeared when I clicked on open. I said Yes and when I clicked on Open again the box re appears I have clicked on close, on the "x" in the upper right corner. It goes off each time but re appears when I click on Open once more and once more. It takes at least 8 to ten attempts before finally I can get my browser to work. Sometimes it takes as much as ten minutes of clicking the thing off before I can get Firefox to work.. HELP HELP HELP HELP.

HI, you need to uninstall version 61 it is not to be used with Vista. Support ends for Vista Shortly. You should be on the Extended Release Version and it will be the last release for Vista/XP. Please choose the 52 Version is what you need 32 or 64 bit version 52.9.0esr https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/organizations/all/
Firefox 52.9.0esr out on June 26 (same time as 60.1.0esr) will be the last major update for Firefox 52 ESR apart from any 52.9.x esr updates for security or allowed stability fixes.
Firefox 60.2.0esr will be out Aug 21 and Firefox 52 ESR will be EOL then. So people will have to upgrade to 60.2.0esr to keep getting security updates if they have not manually upgraded to 60.x.o ESR already. Firefox 60 ESR will require Windows 7, 8, 10.

Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab.
Make sure all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
- Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder.
