I've been using Thunderbird on windows (various versions) for a few years. An automatic upgrade to Thunderbird version 60.5.1 occurred recently and as a consequence the Add-On "provider for google calendar" was disabled and Lightning was left enabled. All existing calendars are not accessible(greyed out).

When the bi-directional add-on (above) is enabled Thunderbird hangs and eventually the message;

"Warning Unresponsive script".

"A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding......." "Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-base-view.xml:185"

Is there a setting that needs to be changed or is the only solution to go back to a previous version of Thunderbird?

usually add-ons are disabled because they are not compatible in the upgrade process. Have you checked you have the latest version?

That was my first thought but I've un-installed Lightning and the Provider numerous times with no positive result.

In the calendar properties is the offline support box ticked? try unchecking it.

In trying to check if the off-line support box was ticked, it became apparent that all my calendars(I have 6) were not available to be modified.

I've deleted them all and re-added and the problem has been resolved.

After numerous upgrades, this is a first.

Thanks for the help.
