I am trying to receive my Office365 outlook emails into TB and in the past have used exquila exchange & Davmail. The new TB update says, "Offer to configure Exchange accounts for Office365. A third-party add-on is required for this account type. IMAP still exists as alternative."

Does this mean TB will help me set up receiving Office365 outlook emails? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks!

Accessing an Exchange server requires an add-on, like the Owl add-on offered in the setup window. But if the Exchange server offers IMAP/POP/SMTP access, you can add the account to TB without any add-ons.

Your answer puzzles me. Does Office365 outlook have an exchange server that offers IMAP/POP/SMTP access? I believe it does. How is this different from TB before the update though? I was able to have an add-on then that worked too.

And if it does offer that access, how do I configure the new TB to receive those emails?

When you updated TB, did the add-on you had to access Exchange update as well? Check Tools/Add-ons/Extensions.

Consumer accounts with outlook.com/hotmail can be added as POP or IMAP using outlook.office365.com and smtp.office365.com. Commercial O365 accounts on an Exchange server require that IMAP/POP/SMTP be enabled, and if they aren't, you need Owl or ExQuilla to access the accounts in TB.

Click the Manual config. button in the account setup and see if you can create an IMAP or POP account.

By the time I updated TB, I was not using an add-on. I was using Davmail. If TB supports office365 without an add-on or Davmail that's the way I'd like to go. But I have tried to set up an IMAP account, but it has not worked.

When you tried to add an IMAP account, why did it fail? If it doesn't work with the settings listed above and your address as the User Name, and an app password if two-step verification is on the account, then I think DavMail is the next best option.

Yes, I tried the above settings and it would say "connection to server timed out" and never connect. Davmail is looking like my option here, but my organization is concerned about its security. They are not familiar with Davmail.

It looks like DavMail is the best option, but I recommend trying the account setup without the possible interference of a security or antivirus program. These apps are well-known to interfere with secure connections if they are allowed to, and timeouts are the usual result. Running in Windows safe mode with networking is the best way to test if this is the source of timeouts.
