I'm using firefox sync, everytime after I turn off my MacBook my bookmarks are gone and I need to log in to firefox to get them back. So far okay (but it would be better to have my bookmarks since previous log on).

But really anoying is the fact that all bookmark icons are lost. I am visual minded and remember my bookmarks based on the icons. It would be so nice if these icons are synced and stored too!

Can this be developed? How and where to suggest new features?

Hi mark.lenssen, sorry to hear that Firefox is not working correctly for you.

Just to check that I understand what's happening here, is this an accurate description of what you're seeing?

When you launch Firefox, it is not signed in to your Firefox Account, and it does not have any of your saved bookmarks, passwords or preferences.
You sign in with your Firefox Account and the bookmarks, passwords etc appear after syncing from the Account.
When you exit Firefox and launch it again, you find that it has forgotten the above and you have to sign in once again.

One possible cause of this, is if you are running Firefox directly from the downloaded disk image rather than copying it locally to your computer. You can check this by opening a new tab in Firefox and entering "about:support" in the URL. This should bring up a page with some diagnostic information about your local Firefox install, one of which is labelled "Application Binary". Does the value for "Application Binary" change every time you exit and re-launch Firefox, or does it stay the same

Hi Aman,

thanks for your reply: the Application Binary does not change, so the install is local and correct. The problem is that after I restart my MacBook I am not signed in anymore on Firefox. When I sign in to my Firefox account, I do get my bookmarks back. But all icons are lost. See the screenshot:

Gitlab, slack and our company logo are now an Icon (and thus easy to reconized) all others are and world-icon.

When I log-off and sign in again, all icons are again gray (world-icon) even the three which are now visible (this is because I used them today after signing in).

It would be nice if these icon's are stored and restored with the bookmarks...
