Why does my search engine keep defaulting to Yahoo!?

In preferences I removed all other search engine except Duck Duck Go and set that as my default, but it seems to keep defaulting back to yahoo!. It never used to do this. Any idea why/how to get it to just stay on Duck Duck Go?

Are you opening Firefox directly from the firefox.dmg file that you downloaded? This is a common mistake that a lot of Mac users make when installing Firefox and it usually causes Firefox data to be reset frequently.

You need to copy the firefox.app file from within the firefox.dmg file to your Applications folder on your computer and open it from there. See How to download and install Firefox on Mac.
