Have two accounts and do not want bookmarks to merge
I have one Firefox account with all my work bookmarks and another account with my personal ones. I would like to login to my work device with the latter account, but am afraid to hit OK at the prompt warning this:
"A different user was previously signed in to Sync on this computer. Signing in will merge this browser’s bookmarks, passwords and other settings with <personal account>".
I am trying to find a way to login and see only my personal bookmarks when I sign in with the personal account. I have disabled Sync for the work account and installed the Multi-Account Containers add-in, but it does not appear that either option will support this workflow. Am I doing something wrong or is there no way to keep things entirely separated? It looks like the add-in keeps my browsing data separate, but I just want to see separate sets of bookmarks when using the corresponding account.
Thanks in advance!

Firefox Sync basically just imports the same data on all of your devices. So if you sign into Firefox Sync on your personal account and then change to the work account, your work bookmarks (for example) will be merged together with your personal bookmarks. Additionally, your personal bookmarks will be sent to your work Firefox Sync account as new data and will get mirrored to other devices using your work Firefox Sync account.
The best option in this situation is to create a new profile folder on your computer. A profile folder is different from a Firefox Account. Each profile folder is basically an independent copy of your Firefox data and they don't share data between each other.
See the Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles page for more information on how to create a new profile.
When you have created a new profile, you will be using one for your personal stuff and one for your work stuff. That way you can sign into your personal Firefox Sync account on one of the profiles and your work Firefox Sync account on the other profile and the data won't be merged together.
In the profile manager, you can uncheck the "use as default" option and that should always bring up the profile manager for you when you open Firefox. That way you can select which profile you want to load when you start Firefox.
Hope this helps.
