"Other bookmarks" button disappeared
After an update done on October 13, the button that I clicked on to see the menu list that showed selections like "show all bookmarks' and "other bookmarks" to see my bookmarks suddenly disappeared. The button used to be on the top right hand corner of the page, to the left of the one that is titled 'view history, etc". Now I cannot find the bookmarks. Help. Thanks in advance.
PS - When I changed/edited the post, and redisplayed the question, it did not show my changes but when clicked the "edit this question" link, the edit box contained the changes. That is confusing.

Is the missing button the optional bookmarks menu button: ?
To re-add that button, try one or both of these methods:
(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar
(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?
- Click the "Library" button:
- Click "Bookmarks"
- Click "Bookmarking Tools"
- Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"
Can you get it back?
Thanks for the suggestions but neither approach added the button back. After trying both solutions, I exited Firefox and went back and still no icon. ;o( The library icon is still the first one, followed by 'show sidebars', 'firefox account', 'more tools'.

Hmm, could you try a toolbar reset using the "Restore Defaults" button at the bottom of the Customize panel, and then try adding the icon again?
You can try to reset browser.uiCustomization.state on the about:config page to the default value.
