Website no longer supporting FIrefox access
Firefox update (about 4 weeks ago?) resulted in losing access to various accounts eg: bank, health care provider. Forced to use Chrome (blech!) Websites now state that I'm using an "unsupported browser". Have contacted host sites and they are unresponsive and/or unable to provide solution. Can still access bank etc from Android phone but forced to use other browsers from MacBook Pro.
Thank you for your assistance!

Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version

You can check out at the browserspy website how websites see you:

You are on Mac OS X 10.11 and this platform is no longer supported, so Firefox 78 ESR is the last version you can use. It is possible that websites no longer support this Firefox version and in that case you are out of luck. Can't you update to a more recent Mac OS X version.
Thanks for the response. Answers question but doesn't solve my problem. Unfortunately my MacBook Pro is from 2011 and can't support newer OS. I'm going to try to revert to an older version of Firefox since it was all working until a few weeks ago and until I can afford a new computer. PS You should hear the fan on this laptop, sounds like a jet engine revving...keep having to take it apart and clean it BUT its still running:)
Note: Some versions of Quantum change how the data files are set up, so they may not be backward compatible.

Try to do a clean reinstall and drag the current Firefox application to the trash.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
