My tabs used to have + signs so I can click on the + and create a new tab.

They are all gone.

How do I fix this?

Keazen oplossing

Normally there is one + button (new tab button) at the end of the row of tabs. If that is missing, call up the Customize tab --

Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

-- and see whether it is in the box of available buttons, and you can drag it back where it belongs. if it's not in the box, check whether it is on another bar. In both the Customize box and on other bars, the button has a different appearance (see attached screenshot).

Can you track it down? If not, there is a "Restore Defaults" button at the bottom of the Customize tab to go back to the factory toolbar layout.
