Those of us in China find that certain websites are blocked. If they are not blocked totally some apps are just not available as they are restricted by the government. Even using a VPN, Google Play will still show Chinese characters on my phone. Considering Mozilla cares about security why not offer a direct download of the Firefox APK for Android from the support pages? Or have I missed something?

Hi

If you have the Google Play store on your device, that is the best way to download and update Firefox for Android.

You can also download the standalone app's from https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases, but please appreciate that they may not update and you may have to update manually. Using Firefox Sync to send your data to another copy of Firefox will help with this.
