Opening a new window loads a page from the recent history
Whenever I open a new page in firefox it automatically loads a page from the recent history in the new window. This is partly annoying because there is a delay waiting for it to load a page you don't want, but is also quite a big problem when it loads a page from the history that was a pop-up with a reduced size, and sometimes with settings that prevent you from changing the page address.
I don't know why it is doing this but it is unusable behaviour. I've tried restarting the computer (and firefox) but it is still doing it. This is version 92.0 for ubuntu.

Check the home page setting https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
That doesn't seem related to the issue. Home page settings offer things like setting a specific link or choosing from a selection of recent sites and content (which is currently turned off in my browser). What is happening here is if you press Ctrl-Shift-N a new window pops up and immediately starts loading some page from the recent history, including setting to small pop-up window size with blocked URL control if a pop up was a recent window (there is no way out from this state!).
You need to check the settings to make sure of what they are.
The settings include: > What opens with a new window > What opens with a new tab
Thanks, i'm pretty sure the settings under "Home" aren't the cause of the problem, "Homepage and new windows" is set to "Firefox Home (Default)", and same for "New tabs".
It seems more like a bug of some kind, hopefully a firefox/system update will make it go away at some point.
I called for more help.
