Hello,

In order to better assist you with your issue please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. This will help us to visualize the problem.

Thank you!

[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Under fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. Scroll to the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

Make sure you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the OS settings.

  • We have seen reports that this can be caused by a problem with fonts like Roboto or Helvetica that

you have installed locally and that might be corrupted or are missing some variants. Also, make sure you allow pages to choose their own fonts and that you do not block remote (downloadable) fonts.

  • If you use uBlock Origin make sure not to "block remote fonts".

Thank you so much for your response.

I have attached a screenshot that shows the issue like you asked. It is not just happening inside a webpage. This is happening even to the text on Firefox's buttons, like in the toolbar, bookmarks bar, or the pop up box that comes when i download something. I use other browsers also and this issue is happening on Firefox alone.

All my display settings on the OS are default. I haven't installed any additional fonts. I am using AdGuard and uBlock Origin. The "block remote fonts" in uBlock Origin's settings is unchecked. I was also using Privacy Badger but i've now removed it to see if that was causing the issue. It happens randomly as far as i can see, so i don't know yet whether removing Privacy Badger has solved the problem.

I can confirm that removing Privacy Badger did not solve the issue. I am attaching another screenshot to show that the problem doesn't just affect the text that is inside a webpage but also the Firefox buttons.

I really appreciate your help. Thanks you.

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?

Make sure you are not blocking content.
