TB is used in a self-contained Windows development environment. Email accounts are created in TB to confirm the app in development correctly creates & sends email. Several accounts have already been created using local POP3 & SMTP settings. The mail server (hmail) logs show a POP3 connection when the new account settings are re-tested yet TB says "...failed to find settings.." There is no other explanation. Please advise.

If you have not already come to the information, logging is what you need to answer such questions. See https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2021/10/logging-new-account-wizard.html My other post on SMTP logging might also be of interest as you are working through the processes. https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2021/10/logging-mail-sending-in-thunderbird.html
