Hi, this has happened twice recently where I have had a number of tabs open on firefox on my phone and suddenly they all vanish. They do not show up in recently closed. If they were marked inactive I have no way to access them. I have no idea what happened but it’s really frustrating as between the two times this has happened I have lost probably 150+ tabs.

Hey there! I totally understand how frustrating it can be to lose all those tabs. It sounds like this might be related to Firefox's session management. Sometimes, if the app is closed unexpectedly or your device is low on memory, tabs might not reopen as expected. To help avoid this, you can try manually bookmarking important tabs or using the "Sync" feature to save your open tabs across devices. Also, if you haven't already, you might want to update your Firefox app to the latest version. If you're still facing issues, you can reach out to our support team for more personalized assistance.

Hi @suram080. The tabs were never closed in the first place. They were open and then they were not. They never showed up in my recently closed. I use the sync features. The problem is that it will only show me what is currently open and I cannot see what was previously synced.

I would love to reach out the support team but I have absolutely no idea how to do that. I have looked for how to do that the only instructions for getting support are posting on here. How else can I personally contact support for help on this?

Same happened to me once updated to Firefox for iOS 116.1 (App Store update from 2023-08-09)!

I urgently need my more than 50 open tabs back! Few of them inactive, some in private browsing.

If you unrecoverable lost all my open tabs/data dear Mozilla, this would be the end of using Firefox on iOS. I‘m so damn angry!!!

Hi

Thank you for your patience while our developers have been looking into this matter. Please look out for an update to version 116.2 from the App Store that should stop your tabs from disappearing.
