I have quite a lot of passwords stored in my iPhone. I would like to sync (or, if not possible, export) these passwords to my Firefox browser on the same iPhone.

Many thanks!

Marco

Hi Marco, I apologise for the confusion earlier. For now, there's no way to export or import passwords to or from Firefox for iOS. Despite this, I might have a workaround.

You are able to export passwords from Firefox for desktop, so you can create a second Mozilla account and sign into it on a Windows or MacOS device. Now export the data, and login to your other (normal) Mozilla account, and then import the passwords, before syncing it to your other mobile device.

Although dodgy, this solution might work if the sync feature, for whatever reason, doesn't want to merge the passwords.

If this helped, please mark this reply as the solution so that others can find it in the future.

I hope this helps, good luck and have an awesome day!

Hi Marco, You can use the dedicated "Sync" feature that comes with Mozilla accounts.

Please read this article to learn how to set up a Mozilla account and sync. (It also provides instructions for iOS)

Thank you and have a great rest of your day (or night)!

Hi Infinity,

Thanks for your reply. I already have a Mozilla account which syncs across multiple devices. One of them being my iPhone on which I have the Firefox app installed.

What I would like to know, if there is a way to import (or merge) the passwords from my IOS (the iPhone) into the Firefox app on this phone. And so sync all passwords across the other devices.

Thanks again,

Marco
