There is an area above the tabs on the tab bar that is about half the height of the tabs that appears to act as a spacer between the top of the tabs and whatever toolbar is above the tab bar. I would like to remove that area so the top of the tab set flush against the bottom of whatever toolbar is above the tab bar. . I would also like to remove the title area and move the minimize, maximize and closed buttons to the end of the location bar with the menu and location bars at the every top of the browser frame with the tab bar below. Doing both of these could give me up to an addition inch of vertical display area to display web pages. In a world of 16.9 monitors the ceiling already appears to be low to begin with and all the vertical display space that can be gained makes all the difference in the world. Your assistance would be appreciated.

Sincerely, Mark

It is probably caused by a misbehaving extension that tries to create a toolbar. You can try to see if that toolbar shows in "View > Toolbars"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

Thanks! I toggled the tool bars and got it to go away.
