Firefox crashes at random. Very often.

It's completely random. It's not Windows that close Firefox. It kills itself. Sometimes when i press a link, try to download a file or just about whatever I do, firefox shuts down and asks me to send an error report. I'm fed up with filling in error reports with what sites i visited or what links i clicked. It happens like once every 20 link clicks, searches or when i press enter after writing a website address.

I have filed numerous error reports and checked for updates with no luck. At first it was only crashing when I clicked links from google images, but now it is more random and more often. I refuse to use IE, but may have to go back to my mac and use Safari til this problem is resolved. Right now I'm using Vista Homes. The crashing started a couple days ago.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

Already tried. I am behind a firewall, I use Windows Defender, Microsoft Security Essentials which are always on.

I scanned with Malwarebytes antimalware SuperAntiSpyware Spybot

And i ran through a HijackThis log for old times sake.

The programs didn't detect much really. And I am still having an issue. It's been bugging me enough now. I'm switching to Chrome until theres a new version of FireFox available for download. Unless someone either comes up with a miracle solution before then...

It takes like... 3 tries to check my email because of this. I just don't want to waste time opening the same links over and over again because it crashes. And I'm certainly not going to fill in another error report. They're driving me crazy.
