I formated my hard drive but kept the folder "Mozilla Firefox" and replaced it when installed new firefox but still can't access my previous bookmarks... My laptop crashed and I had to format but did recover all data and really need my old bookmarks... Please help. Thanks Paulo Valente

The bookmarks are not stored in the same place as Mozilla Firefox, they are stored in the profile folder. If you did not backup that folder you will have lost your bookmarks. If you did backup the profile folder, you can copy the places.sqlite file from the backup and place it in your current profile folder.

Hi pcvalente, did you keep your profile folder or the application folder? If you have backed up your profile folder our help article explains how to import the files into your current Firefox.

To make sure you really backed up your profile folder, see if there is a file called profiles.ini in the firefox folder. Unfortunately, if you have backed up your application folder instead there is no way to recover any data.
